Choux à la créme | COOKBOOK CHALLENGE ep.4 | Nastya Cooks

Salut tout le monde!

Another day - another recipe, and this time after all my fails I decided to switch to more basic recipes in order not to blame the book all the time ;)

So in this episode you will see how desperate Nastya, aka me, tries to make the french dessert called "Choux à la crème" and finally achieves it. But her perfectionism still doesn't let her admit it.

Enjoy!

Crème Brulée | COOKBOOK CHALLENGE | Nastya Cooks

Salut tout le monde!

The time for the hero of the 3rd episode of the COOKBOOK CHALLENGE - the crème brulée - has come!

I have the recipe, all the ingredients and all my courage to make my favorite dessert ever.

I would say that I have patience, but honestly...not so much now!! 2 fails in a row is not an easy thing to handle.

Anyways, here I am with my precious crème brulée, partly happy and partly not.

But what I am really happy for - is sharing this video with you <3

Honey Cake | Sugar FREE desserts | Nastya Cooks

Salut tout le monde!

I'm really happy to share a new sugar-free recipe with you today! That is one of my favorites now and I really didn't expect such a result. I was happily surprised. I know I am very emotional when it comes to cakes :)

The good thing about this honey cake is that it's very easy to make, you dont need to have a super equipment or super ingredients. And what's more important, you can forget about sugar here as well!
Anyways, check the video to see the whole process of "cake making" and down below you will find the recipe.

Ingredients:

  • 2 eggs
  • 130g softened unsalted butter
  • 70-150g honey (yes, you can vary it. I picked the sweetest version because...emm...because 0:)
  • 300g flour (about 2 cups)
  • 200g sour cream
  • a bit of baking powder
  • tiny splash of vanilla extract
Preparation:
  1. Preheat your oven to 180ºC
  2. Combine the butter and the honey together so that you have a creamy mixture after
  3. Add vanilla extract and eggs, one at a time. Beat well and don't be scared if the mixture starts to separate
  4. Add the flour, the baking powder and the sour cream and beat well
  5. Pour the batter into the baking tin lined with parchment paper and transfer it into the oven for about 20 to 30 minutes or until golden on top.
  6. Enjooooyyyy :)
And and don't forget, that you can make a little witchcraft even without sugar.
